Paladin Advice

Been away from EQ since 1999-2004 ... So happy to find Project 1999! I'm getting my feet wet once again and created a Human Paladin in Freeport. I put all of my points into stamina and made it to Level 4 so far. Aside from being out of food <cry>, I'd like some advice on newbie quests ... I enjoy quests and would appreciate any links on Paladin progression in EQ. I faintly remember the Ghoulbane quest and seem to remember the Wurmslayer as being the primo weapon in early EQ. I'd appreciate any advice from some hardcore Paladins out there.

at lower levels you can do a few paladin quest in Freeport.

you may want to relocate to greater faydark and work on quest to raise your dwarf and elf factions.

Two fun low level Paladin weapon quests are the Shining Star of Light and the Bonethunder Staff(procs ward undead). Lots of travel to Qeynos for those.

Ghoulbane quest isn't in game sadly; only way of getting is to buy it or get a drop from the shin lord in Lguk -- the quest was a great way for a lowbie Paladin to get the weapon solo.

Link says minimum level is 10 but that sounds a little high to me. Any level 15+ who is standing around erudin can (and probably will) help you kill this shark if you intend to try the quest.

Unfortunately most of the popular low level quests are for exp, not items. We are now 5+ years into blue server and its much much easier to buy low level items than to quest them. You can get quite a few solid low level weapons on p99 for 100pp or less, and often higher level players will straight up hand you a free weapon or some armor if you just started
