crashing after server select screen

I had to reinstall windows 8. Reinstalled titanium game worked fine.
A few days later computer updated to 8.1. Now I can log in to an account, and select a server, but then the next loading screen pops and starts to load , and the game crashes.
Basically seems like I cant get to the character select screen (on any server).

I get the error from the #1 FAQ on the forums. Changing the settings in my eqclient.ini file (windowedwidth) listed as the fix for this problem doesn't help.

Game runs fine on other computers so just an issue with this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
