Default EQ crashes on log-in screen

I just installed windows 10 and reinstalled EQ titanium. EQ crashes before I get to character select screen. I get this error message:

Everquest windows-Application Error

The instruction at 0x0000000002E445B4 referenced memory at 0x0000000003BAFOEL
The memory could not be read.

Any ideas how I can fix problem?

Hey Vaear.

I had the exact same problem. My solution was:

1) Find eqgame.exe
2) Right-Click and select Troubleshoot Compatibility
3) When prompted to test the application, click the test button... but do NOT give the program access when prompted by the popup box (my reasoning was I do not want to run eqgame.exe without the patchme parameter... just in case)
4) Tell Windows it fixed the problem
5) Launch EQ with the same batch file as before

Windows 10 detected eqgame.exe as requiring Windows XP sp 3 compatibility... and it seems to work for me.

Please let me know if that works for you.

That did fix the problem. Thank you HamFist. I would have never figured that out.
