Default Client Lag

When I try to launch the game the client can take between 30 seconds to 5 minutes to open. Then it hangs for 30 seconds when I click agree. When I log in it hangs on server select. When it finally lets me get to character select It lags loading into the game.

When I'm in game it will freeze randomly for 30-45 seconds every few minutes.

I've tried WinEQ and it doesn't make a difference. I tried reinstalling and that didn't do anything either.

EDIT: I thought maybe it was because I upgraded from 4 cores to 8 cores and it flipped its shit. Doesn't seem to be the problem.

did you try compatibiity mode? also you could try running the game with only one core. the client itself was not designed to use multithreading.

I'm using WinEQ and as far as I know it fixes the core issues automatically.

I'm using Windows XP Service pack 2 for both WinEQ and P99. Both are also run as admin.
