Question about surnames

I'm wondering if it's possible to give my Barbarian a surname similar to the barbarians in Halas. Last names like O'Kief (with two capital letters and an apostrophe) or for example McDaniels (also with two capital letters). Or theres also dark elf names like T`yvl with the backwards apostrophe thing.
Can I just type in a name like this or can I request it from a GM in game? I haven't tried just typing it in the game 'cause I don't want it to automatically format it into a name in all lower case. This would be really cool if I could get a name like this since roleplay is part of the fun of EQ and my barbarian deserves a namesake from his people in halas!
Plus I see people in game with offensive surnames all the time so I don't see why I can't do this for fun and roleplay. Thanks anyway in advance for any info on this. See you in the game, all!

I believe you can request capitals and/or apostrophes in surnames, you just have to petition it. Especially since you aren't trying to do anything tricky and just want a flavourful, barbiarian-like name, I doubt any GM's would be opposed to it.
