I don't have, nor have I applied for an IP exemption, but i understand they'll contact you somehow.

Also, don't worry about getting banned. You wont even get that far. When the second of you tries to log in, it'll boot the one thats already online.

youll get a reply in the message you left in the thread. ive sometimes heard it takes time, mine took about a week and a half. make sure you read the posting ruled for the thread, i had a post that left out details and remade a post and it was granted much faster.

I made a post explaining the situation, and I then put in the 2 EQ Logins me nd my bro are using. Then I replied and Just put the 2 logins, not sure how they want it. But all that it requires is the logins I guess. Any info on how to post let me know

that sounds alright as far as i remember, i think theres a thread thats sticky'd in that section on how to properly post a IP excemption. but like i said sometimes it does take a minute. i wouldnt worry about it the devs are handling alot of bugs/issues/petions atm as always.

They do their IP exemptions in big groups all at once. They dont just do an individual persons exemption at a time. They will wait for it to build up a bit in volume before knocking them all out at once. It could take a couple weeks in between each time they do it. Be patient, the game itself demands patience, so I don't see any issue [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'm sure I read a post from the powers that be saying that all IP exemptions in the queue were done in time for the xp bonus weekend - have you tried both logging in yet?

It's pretty unbelievable how often I see people around here complaining about the IP exemption process and/or wait time. With the population continuing to grow, it's only going to worse.

I find it annoying enough myself to see IP related threads popping up daily in Server Chat and Off Topic, so I can't imagine how the devs must feel about it. Where is the line going to be drawn? It seems to me like there should be something done to automate, streamline, or at least clarify the process.

Ideally there could easily be some kind of simple submit form written to automatically add somebody's IP to a database. Sure that might lead to more people submitting for an exemption, but do peoples applications ever get denied in the first place?

If not that, then it still seems like the process could be fool-proofed a bit. There are enough people constantly getting confused, asking questions, and bitching about it that it might be time to re-think how available and obvious the information is. I mean at least drop a hint about it in the Setup Guide or something.

Sure it's in the FAQ, but apparently it doesn't get the point across.
