Talk me out of ogre shaman.
Ogre shaman for frontal stun immunity is the best right? I hate iksar for anything other than monk, barbarian shaman seems awesome, but has no real bonus apart from being liked by good races. Troll regen might be awesome, but I think frontal stun immunity would be better.
Am I right? | ||

Regen is very powerful, I suggest Troll/Iksar.
Frontal stun immunity only matters if you are tanking and you cannot root/kite. A slowed mob will hit very rarely and you should almost never eat an interrupt from a slowed mob, when you do it can be from push and not from stun (which ogres get interrupted by). A raiding and grouping shaman should almost never be taking hits to the face. They should however constantly be using Canni and therefore regenning back HP. Allowing them more canni casts before a Torpor is necessary at high levels, therefore being more mana efficient allowing more buffs or slows or heals on a raid/group. Iksars can't use JBB but a lot in Velious is cold immune so thats rather moot. Epic and DMG DoTs are best at 60 anyways, especially with their recent increase in efficiency. Stun immunity is vastly overrated.

Remember - you have to look at this character every time you play. Some will remember a rather drawn out thread about my indecision around a Tunare-race druid and a Halfling. In the end, I chose Halfling, sacrificing some rather useful utility items for my visual enjoyment.
I look like a homeless Don Draper, and I rather enjoy it.

Troll. Regen is ALWAYS active, always working for you. Frontal stun immunity is active ONLY when you are getting hit in the face (even then you can get interrupts from push like Daldaen said)
Always > small percentage I made a troll because I really like the regen and troll is my 3rd favorite race. My 2nd favorite race is iksar, but I already have an iksar necro. Troll/Iksar for raiding and leveling (pre-epic) is the only scenarios that I'd recommend non-ogre. Once the epic comes into play and you're quad dotting you can have some hairy situations where stun immunity is irreplaceable. IE getting that root off on a mob that's smashing your face in, so you can back up and throw a heal on yourself in order to stay in the fight. Additionally, ogre is very handy when farming named or come Velious when that interrupt is life or death. Comes down to what your goals are for that shaman. I still side with ogre. Trolls look awesome in velious armors, they get my vote. Torpor is 100K+ plat on this server(probably going to go up in price as its a kunark mob only drop spell iirc and less people will be farming kunark content) and the OP may never see that much cash. Go with the race you actually like looking at imo.
