Default Necro(DE) newbie equipment. A follow up to race selection post.

So I've made a dark elf necromancer. Cheers to all the non-iksar necros. I tried a gnome and I just was not favoring the tiny town that they start in. I explored a bit and was thinking at some time tinkering would prove superior to Hide or Forage abilities. But naahhh I don't like the city so I chose Beautiful Neriak and nektulos as my home!

However, as a new player I was wondering where are some of the low end (lvl<15) places I should go for some necro gear or if any quests in particular I should definitely do. And yes, I've looked at the wiki but I like our community and wanted some input!

Thanks in advance,

Beinen

Quests from Sol Temple - you can't do most of them until the 30s probably but you can start collecting some of the items you need.

Honestly, cloth armor will be fine till late 20s when you can do the temple of sol ro quests...
but in the mean time
http://wiki.project1999.com/Fire_Goblin_Runner will it you a small bag with 5% weight reduction that is light weight but only 6 slots.

Thats about it, you should save all your coin for spells and eventually a circlet of shadow. After that you can worry about the rest of your gear. But Necros are pretty good nakkid as long as you have bone chips to summon a pet.

Befallen & Unrest will offer you some easy drops (better than cloth at any rate).

Yes, I am familiar with the dagger and cloth armies from befallen. I am looking forward to to that place as its undead [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I'll do the fire goblin runner quest as soon as I'm able. I'll update when I'm in the 30s doing the sol stuff

Sol Temple quests are the way to go. They should be able to be done by another toon for you to either pass the loot or MQ if you have someone higher. Basic Int gear is very easy to get, you can buy it or have a mid-level toon farm stuff off oowomp in TD

Dagger of marnek was probably one of the first things I camped on my necro when I first made him; it's a nice little range slot item. In general, you will want to value HP as much as you do Mana; this wiki page: http://wiki.project1999.com/Category...ncer_Equipment is useful for searching other items that you may be able to get at a relatively young level (or any level). Remember that raw mana and hp items are going to benefit you more at a lower level than will int and stam. Shadowbound gloves and boots are great for a young necro.

If you plan on playing your Necro in Velious which will be out soon, I would suggest you just go out and level it now. There is NO noob zones in Velious. And a Necro really needs NO gear at all to get the job done. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] And like said go for mana low levels, Int high levels. And for some reason Int cost more than Wis gear on here. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Just use the cheap, aka, free Robe you got from the trainer, and go for it. You need to be at least mid 20's to do any Velious low level zones. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
