question about plvling

Ok so I have a buddy wanting to get up to par with my 18 druid. Currently this is the highest level toon I have since I started playing again and I've been trying to figure out how to plvl him with my noob druid. If I party him and go to a place where mobs are blue to me will he get exp in group? Or will he have to hit the mob and drop from group then I kill it??

What level is he? You might be better off helping him solo with heals if he's level 1-10

Since he needs the XP more it makes sense to let him get all the XP so I suggest not grouping.

You can group with someone within ~5 levels of you OR within 2/3rds / 1.5x your level (whichever is the bigger spread) for xp. In other words you need to wait until he its 12 if you are 18.

To get him XP quick just keep him buffed and healed. The damage shield is good if it doesn't KS too many mobs. Remember there is a cap on xp gained per kill so don't have him fight anything too hard or it is wasted xp.

The person/group that does the most damage gets the xp. Damage shields are ignored for this purpose, so if no one does any damage to a mob except for damage shields then no one gets xp.

Buffs/heals/DS, don't group.

Make sure he does at least 1 point of damage to each mob, otherwise if the shield kills it he doesn't get xp.

Another option would be to farm xp turn-ins for/with him. For example, you could keep him buffed around orc hill in gfay while you melee orcs in CB to get him a bunch of belts.

Have your friend go to the EC tunnel and beg for some killer High level Druid buffs and you can get to level 14 pretty quick between EC and running to WC and killing near the EC ZL.
