Default The Box Test

Hi all,
Due to a recent trade deal with my wife, I have convinced her to play a druid for me. Now actually playing a character in EQ is pretty simple and she can easily move the character around and press 1 - 8 to cast spells when she realises or I ask her to but... Will she able to perform actions for a box test? She doesn't run around a lot, she is a druid so mostly sits until buffs or heals are needed and it looks a little like a boxed character.

Am I likely to run into trouble? If our son cries and she or I have to duck out to attend for 5mins or so, is it best to log the character out or is that ok? Is there an upper limit on how long an afk can be?

Has anyone else played with a person that doesn't find computer games easy and worried about the same things.

I love P99 and absolutely agree with the boxing rule but with my brother playing and my wife agreeing to give it a go, I don't want to get 3 accounts banned just because my wife's last having experiment was mickey mouse's magical adventure... Which she found tough [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Sorry about the wall and thanks for the help.

Cheers
Matt

Just to be clear, I'm not asking for specifics in an attempt to circumvent them.

Just, is the test ready for s non-gamer?

Is there a discussion if someone turns up to test, so we can explain the situation and work out a test that will work for both parties?

1 player, 1 computer at all times.

Baby's crying? Log out or you will likely be the one crying.

This. If your wife has to walk away from the computer she should immediately sit, /camp and then she can log back in when she gets back.

Simply put, P99 staff won't reveal their methods for determining boxes because it poses a security risk to disclose that information. If everyone knew how to get around it, everyone would be boxing.

I always wonder if these are legit posts or whether its something made so that when caught they can point and say "but look, I made a thread last month, I'm innocent!" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You live with your wife and brother? Who am I to judge? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Oh, the brother just likes looking at auction spam in EC does he? I see.

Good luck OP, stay on the straight and narrow.

Just make sure to log out if afk for even a sec, or you can and will get banned.

My brother lives in another state.

Not sure how two people would play one computer. Thought it would be assumed everyone has their own ip address and computer.

Just mentioned because if we all group and something happens I imagine it will be all accounts banned.

Once again not asking for specifics just wanted to hear "yes it is easy but impossible for one person to do." Or "it is much harder than actually playing EQ and someone not proficient with computers should not attempt it."

Would love some of the help and understanding I see in the rather than common forum snipes. No accusations but if you are going to comment on the legitimacy of my question rather than the substance I would probably prefer not to have my integrity attacked.

Thanks.
