Default UI disapears(Can't get passed character create screen)

After first downloading the v36 update files and installing them, removing the undesired files from the folder i launch the Launch Titanium.bat file and when I successfully login and get to character creation screen the UI is 99% absent and sometimes it flashes. Nonetheless I can select the race/class/rotate/male/female options and everything works, but I cannot know what options im truly selecting.

Thanks in advance,
-Beinen

What resolution is you EQ running? If the window is below a certain amount, the UI can't render.

Do I change these in the game options? I'm going to go look, but probably too high of resolution.

-I tried multiple resolutions changing them in the game options. Closed and restarted the program and still even at the lowest resolution i;m still having the same issues.

I'm also trying to find a Titanium ISO(or anything that would work) and it seems that some sites may be inoperational as of lately. I still have a zip of EverQuest Red99 that i was able to download months(maybe even close to two years ago.) Can anyone verify if these files are still operational?

I finally found a collection of the 5 ISO disc copies(along with numerous adware programs to go along with) of EQ titanium. Performed another fresh install with the new patch and the required deleted files to find the same outcome. I think it may be the machine I'm using and may have another one in a few days and will find out then.

Your red99 install from 2 years ago likely still works. Besides the updates in the vXX files provided in the patch notes, P99 does not alter the client install of Everquest: Titanium Edition.

What OS are you using? If its Windows, there's a chance your eqclient.ini is being placed in a folder it does not have write permissions to. This could cause a problem. Try installing Everquest to a folder you have root privileges to instead of letting the default install choose folder/file locations.

I'm using Xp professional, Service Pack3. I took read only off of the files/folders where my titanium is installed. The titanium folder is installed on my desktop, also. Not sure if that would make a difference from program files folder.

So I would try deleting your eqclient.ini file (don't worry, EverQuest will generate a new one the next time you run the executable. Once a new default has been created, I would exit the executable again and edit it.

for anybody ever wondering, i had to search for the EQCLIENT.INI lol
i say search because i thought it was lost.
Computer/(C: )/Users/-username-/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files (x86)/Sony/Everquest
Edit - " Eqclient.ini "
underneath should be
[VideoMode]
Width=xxxx
Height=xxx
WidthWindowed=xxxx
HeightWindowed=xxx
WindowedWidth=xxxx
WindowedHeight=xxx

just edit X to desired resolutions, Just make sure it is supported by your monitor ;p
also for anybody searching, the folder "AppData" by default is hidden.
I did not generally think WinXP screwed with eqclient.ini as much as Win7, but I still feel your issue with a lack of UI elements and the crashing deal with the eqclient.ini.

Does the 3d character/game world render properly and its only the UI elements that are not rendered? (like since you cannot get passed character select, the character is there, without error, with the camera doing circles around him/her?)

Perform immediate action or you will not rate an alibi after completing your stage of firing.

Check your CPU clock speeds. I friend of mine had to turn his CPU speed down a few notches to get the game to open correctly. After that is it was good to go.
