![]() Ok.. so randomly I will crash, no ryhme or reason to it. Sometimes while zoning, but not always, sometimes when just sitting, not always, running.. ect. Not ever in particular zones and at no particular time of day is it worse than others.
Sometimes my computer will lock up and I will have to restart. Other times, EQ will close itself sending me to the desktop. I will be told the client has crashed and such. The resolution on my desktop is sent down to the lowest possible (800x600) when this happens and I cant bring it back to 1024x768 for a minute or two. Anybody have this problem or know what may be causing it? I have my desktop set to 1024x768 and the same for EQ. 32 bit color quality. Have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 video card with updated driver. Using windows XP. Connected wirelessly, but generally have very good signal strength. I would be very thankfull for any suggestions or help [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() I have Dirextx9 I belive. Is there a more recent free version?
I usually am playing in fullscreen mode but have also tried windows in case fullscreen was causing the problem. Same thing happened in both though.

![]() There are various releases of DirectX9 that come out every few months. That is why almost every game forces you to run the installer, because invariably there is some minor change that makes their game work.
If you go to the MS site and get the DXSetup it should get you the latest files if you don't have them (ironically, using google will get you to the download easier).

![]() I did already have updated Directx9 and such. I've come to find that if I set the game res at 800x600, my desktop res at 1024x768 and play in windowed mode it seems to work okay. Kind of a bummer playing on such a small window on an already small monitor (samsung syncmaster 172N) but I'll take it if that's the only way.
If anybody has any further suggestions, I would be very thankful for them [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Thanks again!
