Shouldn't this spell work on Heart Spiders in upper guk?

I am given the message "This spell only works on animals."

The EQ devs (and apparently Yendor) were under the misguided impression that "animals" means the same thing as "mammals".

It works on Crocs... It would stand to reason that "animal" could be seen generally as any non-humanoid, non-undead, non-summoned beast.

Scientific classification
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Arachnida

But if it didn't work in classic, I guess no dice :/

Lots of things that should be animals aren't flagged as such. Some spiders are, fire beetles for example.

However I do recall charming them at some point in time... so These *should* be flagged as animals.

An animal was never clearly defined lol. Lull works fine just not on everything you assume verant assumed was an animal.
