Missing Great Divide tooth not missing

when attempting to port using Ring of Great Divide from within Great Divide I am getting an error "You are missing some required components. You are missing Tooth of the Great Divide." Yet the tooth is in my inventory bag. It doesn't matter which bag I move the tooth to, it doesn't matter if I hold the tooth on my cursor, the error persisted.

Relogging fixed it. But why?

At what point was the teeth requirement nixed? It was kind of nice to have translocate on my druid back in the day but i dont recall how long it lasted.
