![]() Here are some thoughts I had...most of them involve programming changes - I would love to hear more ideas on how players themselves could address the issue.
1) Add minimum level requirement to some items (like Fungus Tunic) - this would immediately take away twink's main advantage. 2) Remove PVE XP loss. I think with the red server XP bonus it doesn't matter much anyway, so it wouldn't trivialize the game. This would prevent potential twinks from de-leveling, although it wouldn't stop the existing ones. 3) Remove +4/-4 rule for non-damaging spells (Root/Mez/Blind). This would allow a friendly high level to frustrate a twink and cause him to give up. Downside - this could be abused too, since some bored high level could sit around and cast it on innocent lowbies. 4) Add racial faction hits for PVP kills. This can slow down some twinks who rely on the local friendly guards to have their back. 5) Have all skills reset to level cap when someone de-levels (not sure, maybe this already happens). 6) Remove server-wide yellow text PVP announcements. This one is debatable - on one hand it will remove YT incentive for twinks, on the other YT gives due credit for proper PVP wins... it also lets potential victims know which areas to avoid. 7) Player Anti-PKs who could provide protection as a service - either out of goodness of their heart, or for a fee.
