WASD and Controller intermittently working

Hi p99ers,

I am running EQ through Wine Skin on my macbook pro. I can log in, see all the graphics correctly, and otherwise do not seem to have any problems. However, I am experiencing control issues in that I have my mouse cursor suddenly change from the in-game cursor to the mac cursor, or my W,A,S,D controls suddenly get out of hand and I spin in circles or head in a straight line. As you can imagine, this is troublesome.

I'm wondering if this is because a program in the background keeps vying for my attention?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
