Default Flawed mechanic with levi and DMF, no GM help.

I was in a group(red) for the hole. As I was waiting for everyone to zone into paineel, I was running around with levi and DMF on. I sat down, slightly off the edge of the upper path, and looked away. I look back, and my levitation fades. This causes me to plummet into the hole, and Master Yael proceeds to have his way with me.

I petitioned to have a GM assist me with getting my corpse because I would have thought that this flawed mechanic would have warranted me with a corpse recovery. Aussie gets a hold of me, and lets me know that he is unable to help get my corpse because levi dropping me even though DMF is still on is a classical mechanic.

Are you kidding me?

I was then told that GMs can summon corpses that fade after seven days, and I was told to just wait the seven days for my corpse to disappear to get it back if I could not retrieve it on my own.

I do not understand why these rules are set this way. What is the difference in helping me get my corpse now as opposed to seven days from now. My death was because of a flawed mechanic, and I am penalized to wait 7 days because of it.

Can someone shed light on this?

TLDR ; was buffed with levi and DMF, levi faded and then I fell to my death in the hole. flawed mechanic warrants no gm assistance apparently.
