Game Mechanics: Book of Darkness quest with Eldreth nearby

I did this quest at 35 on live because the pathing wasn't set to have all mobs to path back after five - ten seconds. I wasn't able to do what the wiki said was a 25+ quest at 43 because the epic mob Eldreth is social with the level 29 mob for the quest. After four deaths I just decided to forget it.

On live this was side stepped by not having Eldreth path back, therefore you could pull him to the side of the island and from there kill Cyanelle. I also don't remember being ice cometed by Eldreth ever, though the spells are obviously within his level range.

Is there any way to change this so that the quest is doable before 60? Otherwise better gear can be gotten for less work. If it's a "It's classic" thing, then I guess that sucks.

I'm aware this isn't technically a bug but I wasn't sure where to post for this, please move it if need be.

Thoughts for a possible solution to make the quest at least a little bit easier? Could Eldreth maybe be set to path back after an hour so he doesn't get hidden from people trying to do their epics?

Make a druid or ranger friend.

Harmony Eldreth, single pull it.

Alternatively, wait until Eldreth is despawned by a Rogue-Epic quester. He stays down for 8 hours.

Yeah, I figured more than likely I'd just need help. It just seems a little counter intuitive for a lower level quest but what do.
