Default Jewellery Crafting Skilldown

Ok, so i had a skill of 280 on jewelcraft, i tried a combine tonight on a platinum diamond ring (trivs at 28- something.)

anyway, i do the combine, and i fail it, i get the message you have become better at jewelry making (200), you have become better at research (200).

My research skill was 205.

Bit disappointed with that, so asked around a few other JCers if they have had that happen, they all say no, i ask if they have their research higher than 200 (given the patch notes say that no two tradeskills will exceed the cap of 200), turns out they have their skill still at 280 odd (even if their research exceeded 200), so i figure it happened to be because when i did the combine I must have got a skill up... well... skillup would be the wrong term for it it would seem [You must be logged in to view images. Anyways, i'm told that research was never considered along the same categories as the other tradeskills, so i don't understand why this happened.

I wonder if anyone else has had this happen.

Haynar has a fix in to exempt the class based tradeskills from causing the reset, pending update.

If your primary tradeskills were reset due to a class based tradeskill being over 200, post in the petition forum.

The class based tradeskills are Research, Alchemy, Poison Making, Tinkering.
