Miscellaneous: Shattered War Beads for Newbie Armor dropping

Hi there:

I was levelling a newbie rogue outside runnyeye and kept getting Shattered War Beads:

I looked them up and they're for newbie armor quests that are not in game. Poked around on Lucy and Alla and don't see any mention of them til 2003 so I don't think they dropped before the newbie quests went in.

I remember these, it was just the vendor junk version of the runnyeye quest beads. I believe they used them for the armor quests later.

Agreed, as far as I could tell these existed just to annoy newbies.

Ok, I couldn't find mention of them but if ppl recollect them prior to the newbie quests then problem solved...
