I have had it happen to the same dog like 3 times. You'd think he would learn to stay the fuck away, but he runs right for a straight sniff of skunk ass hole every time...

He got it in the face once, and I felt so bad because he was pushing his head along the grass to try and get it off. I had to get buckets of water and dump over his face to help him.

Your dog is going to stink for a month, and then it is going to still smell a little bit if you get close for another month... There is no cure...

No joke! Skunk ass hole must smell amazing to dogs. Considering how my dog acts around every other animal, that is what he was going for when he got skunked...

It is funny that this thread came up because last night I let the dog in and he went up stairs for bed. About 2 minutes after I let the dog in I could smell skunk. A minute or so later, the dog came running down the stairs with his tale between his legs and he was shaking. Maybe the dog got the point after being sprayed in the eyes last time...
