Dyzil's Deafening Decoy vs. 49 fire pet with hate staff

I have a 55 1/2 Mage and was looking forward to getting DDD at 56. Does anyone have an idea of some of the DDD stats and if it's better to use that or the 49 fire pet with focus? The wiki doesn't have very much information.

I have the fire staff from hate and usually solo by chaining and/or reclaiming the 49 fire pet. Will it be better to use DDD? It costs a lot more mana (200 for fire pet, 350 for DDD) and it can't be focused so I'm skeptical.

My focused 49 fire pet has a damage shield of 40-44 dmg. What I found below shows DDD's damage shield is 43-47. Is that correct?

The 49 fire pet with focus should have 2205 hit points (same as air) according to the pet guide below. How many hps does the DDD pet have? This would probably be the biggest determining factor.

-BEST pet kite spell 56+
-Has a huge DS and cast a PBAE 42-47 dmg proc that has a + 100 pure hate attatched to it. It grabs agro quickly and keeps it even if you nuke.
-The pet cannot dual wield and has low melee dmg but has a 43-47 pt DS so its great for pet kiting.
-The pet cannot be focused in anyway so you can feel free to use your max int items and keep reclaim item in inventory.
-Sell for around 500pp fairly common spell.

For pure efficiency as long as the mob doesn't hit too hard the 49 pet is the better choice. DDD does have a lot of hp (same as 51 earth I believe) and also has crappy melee + good hate so easier to outdamage pet if you don't want to (or can't for safety) reclaim pet everytime.
Nice change of pace if you wanna summon max level DDD, buff him up and nuke for 50% (or actually less than 50% since lots of neutral DS damage)
