Greetings, new player here. Have only gained a few levels, and had to stop for a while, but I really like what I've seen from the server. The sheer amount of rage and boasting on the forums can only be a good thing. I wanted to ask a few questions and clarify some things before I really get going.

I'll be playing a bard. I usually main a monk, but I remember having a lot of trouble with getting ganked/rooted/etc on live as a new monk, and it's not an experience I'd like to repeat. Looking forward to getting some MR, pumice, and a good 2H before I level my monk and start the big ballsack jousting.

I've read there are some MR issues here. Someone was saying that casters can't land spells like root and snare on targets their level or higher. I even saw one guy say he chain-casted root like six times on a 3-levels-lower player and didn't land a single one. Is that sort of thing common? And is it just those spells, or MR in general? The sheer number of melees (and wizards with FR + CR nukes) in the leaderboard makes me think it might be. Are other casters useful in PvP?

I used to swarm kite all the time, but I haven't played a bard on a PvP server. What tactics / songs are most useful for bard PvP?

I've seen RMT and MQ mentioned. Please tell me there is none of that crap on the server.

Is there much competition for endgame loots?

there isn't really mq but there is rmt black market. also bards are nice but don't expect to kill anyone any time from 1-50. monks are cool but as far as getting rooted and ganked that's any melee class. root doesn't really land that often here even with low mr. but its always good to keep ur sv up
