Adblock is definitely the way to go.

Scan your PC with malware bytes. Spybot too (i think its called spybot? someone correct me if thats not right).

yeah i get it from time to time, use malwarebytes, cc cleaner then adaware 6.0 works like a charm

personally i use Ccleaner, then Rkill, then Malwarebytes then bootscan with Avast if i am trying to clean a system. If i have a virus that i cant even get to desktop with i use hitman pro trial to clean.....I have way too many friends that are not computer literate that like porn so i usually have to clean 2-3 PC's a month.

Edit: and then whatever browser they use i install adblock to.
