Tells?

I can't send a direct tell or do /ooc at level 4. Is this to prevent spam and griefing or is there something special I have to do to have permission? I just got into the game yesterday after a few months off from Eqmac. I am Camdog, from Destiny. Hello all!

I have never heard of any restrictions. Are you sure they are not going to a chat box hidden behind something?

I actually get a message to the effect: "You do not have permission to /ooc" and "You do not have permission to send a tell." Not exactly those words but something similar.

Hmm, there was some spamming in EC tunnel recently. Maybe it is something they implemented on new accounts to combat that.

I'm on Grand Creation. I was wondering if I had to get to a certain level before I could do anything more than a simple "say" to the people in my general vicinity.

"Wrong" in what way? My old guild from Eqmac is supposedly on this server. Are you guys just giving me crap or is there something actually wrong with G.C.?
