Default Enchanter without charms?

I'm having a hard time with my enchanter. He is 29 and in a group or solo against exp mobs he's great. However when I'm questing or in zones with mismatched mobs it's a challenge.

The enc animation is very weak even with alacrity and the mob slowed.

So how do enchanters farm or kill in these situations?

toss a rune on him and zerk/bedlam later is the only way to make that animation live .. will take awhile to kill things and will burn through alot of regents

Summoned pet can work fine for a chanter if there's nothing handy to charm

Keep the mob rooted. Summon a pet, when he dies summon another pet. It's not hard, tiny daggers are very cheap, carry alot of them. If you're going for exp I'd normally invis to poof the pet when the mob is low enough health to die to one nuke.

It's more mana efficient and cheaper to summon more pets than it is to use runes. Don't bother buffing/hasting the pets or giving them weapons as they're just going to their death. Slow the mob if needed but not necessarily always.

This method can work great if you need a quest mob, and if you find the right mobs for your level you can get good exp out of it too.

You can also reclaim energy on your animation when he's low health to get some mana back.

I believe there are items (like Shovels) that you can get from a Sol Ro quest to do reclaim energy for free, but I'm not 100% sure.

I always just charmed other mobs for Xp and used animations only for farming
greens.

I was referring to areas where I can't find two mobs of similar power to fight each other. As an example, I was in Swamp of No Hope working on the Illusion: Iksar quest and the frog PH I was killing were fairly different in level. One was high teens and the other was mid 20s. This made it very difficult to put them against each other.

I did end up using my animation. It appears chain summoning is best. It's so annoying to deal with pets prior to their regen getting a big boost, ie. prior to lvl 39.

How much room do you got? You can strength debuff your mob and then fear him.
