Zone in screen froze over client?

sometimes I zone into a zone while trying to bring in another program for example task manager, and when I flip back to eq I am zoned in but the loading in screen is still on my ui and visually frozen onto my screen. but I can right click and see the mouse disappear as if im still in game and I can still zone out going backwards but the screen is still not showing up, just the loadup bar screen. sometimes alt tab fixes this but I try to reframe from using it because it will crash my game. anyone have this problem? I was thinking to try wineq2
