Default Wake of Tranquility - Strat/use?

Hey guys, wondering what the strat/use of this spell is? I mean for me it seems to be a good thing when a bunch of greens aggro on you and your like, SHUTUP!

but - does it have other use's that the regular memory blur doesn't have? I suppose if you memory blur 2 rooted mobs in range of each other? hmmm ok yea I can see the use.

Is that right, or is there more? Thanks!

Wake of Tranquility is an AE lull, not a mem blur. It gets very little use as far as I know on p99, since it has a short duration and the same resist rate as the single-target lulls. Against stuff that is blue you'll need to cast it more than once to lull everything in a pack, but you won't know which ones it sticks on and which it doesn't, and recasting hits mobs that are already lulled giving extra chances for a crit fail... it's bad.

There is an AE mem blur also (blanket of forgetfulness), which is great for, you guessed it, blurring a few mobs at once. It lets you blur a group without lulling first (single target blur would need lulls also or else stuff just reaggros) or more quickly cause you don't need to wait on cooldown of single target. It also has a higher chance to blur any given mob per cast than something like "Memory Blur" does, I think.

Ya wake is no good. Not to be confused with the commonly recognized wake and bake.

Fun fact, if you target the same mob and they haven't shifted too much, the resist/stick will be listed in the same order every time.

Mob 1 Resists
Mob 2 Hit
Mob 3 Hit
Mob 4 Hit

--

Mob 1 Hit
Mob 2 Resist
Mob 3 Resist
Mob 4 Resist

^ If that situation occurs, they are all Pacified. That being said, if you want to switch from AE Pacify to Single it is indeed tough to tell the resister if they are all "a_snake".

The above is extremely relevant when re-snaring as a wizard quadding.
