Default New Cleric!

Hello all,

Been a long time EQ player, but get overloaded with all the new stuff in live EQ so thought i'd try P99.

Think I've decided to start off with my original main, a High Elf Cleric named Daryan. Currently level 3! Let me know if anyone wants to group up on Orc Hill/CB.

Any suggestions on 1hb weapon to work towards? My 4/30 isn't cutting it.

I also have a baby rogue and enchanter if anyone needs one of those.

Remember you're an undead wizard! Make full use of killing undead whenever possible if you want a break from healing or want to solo etc (first spell at Level 5) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Thanks. That guide doesn't list anything 5-10 for undead soloing though. Should I stick with Crushbone until my teens?

For any cleric starting in Faydwer, I'd recommend hunting in front of Kaladim from 1-4 (or even 5) sniping every decaying dwarf skeleton that moves. Save every bone chip. Then turn them in at 5 to Gunlok Jure in the Kaladim paladin's guild for sweet, sweet exp in cresting level 8 (and meditate) the easy way. After that, two choices.

Head off to Crushbone and collect belts while grouping. Or solo at the Butcherblock druid ring + nearby tower for 6 spawns of dwarf skeletons that will take you from 8 to 11 pretty easily.

If you're saving plat and focusing on getting banded and wis items, check Kithicor woods around server prime times for high level people gathering to get a Rogue Epic MQ. If you approach a gathered group politely, they'll most certainly help you in looting a no drop +6 Wisdom one handed blunt that drops like candy from the undead at night.

Around the time you're level 12-13, Unrest really is a fun place for a cleric. Or if you have HUGE balls of steel, you can blow 20pp on a pair of cloudy potions (invis) and make the swim in Timorous Deep for the firepot room, use a potion, and touch the Cabilis firepot. Then make the run through cabilis, into Field of Bone, and on to Kurn's tower. get a bind near the Kaesora zone if you do this. The second cloudy potion is a spare in case the first one wears off early - just jump in a canal and use the second one and keep going.

Best of luck. In your early 20's people will scream for you in Mistmoore.

Solid advice! Not meant for me but I'm going to steal it. Thank you.

So I'm level 10 right now and CB is slow right now. Most mobs are green/light blue outside the Wall/Throne/Slaves, but they're always camped. Do you think Unrest or Kurn's Tower would be better?
