Default Bard regen during FD pulling?

Hey guys and gals, bard here! I want to know if my monk is out doing some feign death pulling, if I should NOT sing any regen songs or anything while we wait..

A monk in my group said it pulls the agro off him and into the group. Is this true?

When monk is FD pulling, do not sing anything, because if I do I will be pulling agro to the camp?

Thank you! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yes and no. So long as the monk isn't getting your buff in his buff window you can sing to your hearts content. When that monk calls inc you better drop that song like its 1999.

Basically as long as your careful you can sing.

you have to read the situation. in many exp camps you can sing and never have an issue. in tighter spots you will have to coordinate with the monk if he is splitting, etc.

If the monk is standing or his FD failed and a song lands on him, agro will transfer.

If monk is successfully FD'd agro should not transfer (just as healed an FD person shouldnt transfer agro)

However... you're a bard... why do you care if the monk is bringing in 4 mobs. unless the monk is suicidal and brings if 6+ (and you are over level 35 and ae mezz no longer works) you should be able to handle it

thanks for the replies guys! good notes! On this note, the issue I am talking about is if the monk isn't suicidal but is splitting 4 or 5 mobs within song range, in a tight dungeon and I ruin the splitting with my song and now we have 4 or 5 mobs when we wanted 1 or 2 [You must be logged in to view images. During raids on live EQ, its common practice for the raid leader to yell "songs off", for good reason during the initial pull. You just have to make sure the song isn't hitting initial agroers. Bards get an agro drop ability called fade which makes it easier on live. I don't think they get it on p99.

Also, the 30ish mana song doesn't have a long range anyway. Not sure about the range of the 55 one.
