Looks like evidence is starting to point to foul play of some sort. Here are some things of note:
-discrepancy between transponder and messaging system shut off
-transponder shut off right as entering Vietnamese air space
-no debris found yet
-a few people on board with stolen passports(although apparently this is common)
-one man pretty emotional before he left, giving his wife his wedding ring "if anything should happen to him." Apparently what he said to his mom was even more unbelievable but I haven't been able to.find any transcripts.

I'm really starting to think this was a botched hijacking and the plane crashed on land, either in the jungle or Himalayas.

If this was a hijacking, what would be the incentive? Chinese hostages for ransom? Using the plane later for a dastardly purpose? Political leverage? Almost seems like one of these countries is in on the plot.
