Since I switched to a new machine with Windows 8, the game is frozen every time I come back from an extended afk where my laptop's display shuts off. I'm actually fairly sure my display used to be forced to stay on when I had the game running, but apparently that doesn't happen anymore. I do run in windowed mode and want to keep doing so.
Any suggestions? | ||

Edit your settings so your display doesn't shut off after X period of time. Duh.

everytime my graphics card has to refresh, like when screen saver comes on, resolution change, etc, my eq always freezes. note that your toon will still be active, just frozen screen. usually /ex the frozen screen and have to relog in. i think it is an issue with eq not being able to cope, not your card.

Exactly Pookie, but this is the third machine I've used for p99 and the first one that has had this issue. Because of that, I figured this would be a pretty simple fix.
Vetiver, I don't want to have my display on 24/7. I want EQ to force the display to stay on when running.

This happens to me...and a lot of people sometimes if it's the same thing, but mine is
usually a black screen. Hit alt+enter and then alt+enter again and see if that fixes it / cycles between full screen and windowed. If it is that, just be careful because alt+enter will sometimes crash eq, at least for me...it's 50/50. Aaradin Aaradone The A-Team
