Default Looking to come back.. Recommend me a budget laptop

Hey guys I've been gone for almost a year now but I'm getting the itch to play again. My old desk top is blue screening hard so I'm in the market for a new laptop. I'm sure some of you have done research in this area so any suggestions would be much appreciated [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Uh... gunna need more info then that.

Do you want a 17inch beast that will sit on a table most of the time or a more managable 13-15 inch thing?

Full size keyboard? 10key (number pad)?

Are you comfortable putting ram in (its really really really really really easy but some people would rather spend an extra 200 bucks then do something that takes 3 minutes and costs another 40 for the part).

Is having fast boot up & load times important enough to you to install an SSD?

Whats your price range? I consider 500-700 to be 'budget' but just about any 300 dollar laptop will run EQ and be tolerable if you spend another 40bucks to boost the ram up to 6-8gb.

Sorry about that the lack of details. Full size keyboard for sure, 15 inch screen would work fine and I'd prefer ssd if I can keep it in the budget of 5-700. Ram installation is no problem

http://outlet.us.dell.com/ARBOnlineS...=22&l=en&s=dfh

Use Coupon code: M56BRN2KM043CG on these models for 25% more off:
Inspiron 15z - 5523 Ultrabook
Inspiron 15R-5521
Inspiron 14z Ultrabook

Use the filters on the side to only look at those 3 types.

Could get plenty of machine for 539 - 25% = ~404 before tax/shipping (shipping is usually free).

You'd have to drop in an SSD on your own afterwards but could get that for 90bucks or so and have it be big enough. Probably won't need to add more ram but easily could and still stay in budget (6gb is the absolute minimum I'd run in my own system, 8gb would be better. 4gb will run like dogcrap but you can easily upgrade yourself).

Intel HD built-in graphics is crap but should be fine for EQ.

Edit:
Additionally, its the outlet and the stuff they sell are either returns or refurbs so they're just looking to make some money back. If you find something you want and those coupons don't work you can add it to cart, use the 'chat with customer service' button and then tell the guy 'Hey, I'm wanting to buy blah but could you help me out on price?' Pretty easy to get a 20-25% off coupon that way. If the guy says sure! If you buy Norton or some crap, say no thanks. Empty your cart, add it again, chat again and you'll most likely get another rep. Ask them the same question.

Eventually one of them will get you a coupon with no strings attached.

This is important yes, but also harder to get from 'budget' machines.

You can get used Dell Latitudes with an i5 and nvidia chip for ~$300 on ebay.

Edit: Whatever you do, don't buy a Toshiba.
