Default Saving UI and Key settings

Im reinstalling P1999 atm but i dont want to go trough this whole UI and key settings again because it took me so long and it drives me crazy [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Can i just copy my old ui folder (default_old) and everything will be the same?
What about the key-settings and friendlist?

Thankful for any answers

PS: Could i actually just copy the whole Everquest folder to speed things up?

Yes just backup the whole EQ folder and then place it back afterwards. The game is completely independent of the OS install (ie it doesn't actually install any other needed files). You will have to install Microsoft's DX9 for the missing dll file though.

don't forget your *.INI files in the Everquest folder!

That's where the window locations, friends lists, settings, etc, etc all all stored.

Should be a file like (this is from memory not @ home to look)..

UI_Nedala_Project1999.ini
Nedala_Project1999.ini

Just get all the 'ini' files - too many won't hurt (other characters, other servers, etc)

If you have windows @ it's default settings to not show extensions on known file types - it might just list as 'configuration settings'.

Edit: Oh shucks - I didn't read Savok's post all the way first - yeah, just copy the whole folder - it'll run just fine. Just don't forget to re-create the shortcut with 'patchme' - that or just copy the shortcut.
