Iksar SK doable?

Really torn on this. I have a level 4 troll as I have just gotten back into this game. As both have a horrendous xp pen and I will likely still be leveling come Velious, is an Iksar SK viable or am I gimping myself from the start.

I like trolls, but I love Iksar and how they look. Been going back and forth on this for days now and any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.
