If I re-roll Iksar

Lets face it, Iksar necro is the most bad ass mofo in the game. Unfortunately I had to skip the Iksar and just do the necro. I was wondering if it might be worth it to re-roll once Iksar come out.

Right now I have like no money, gear, high lvls. But Im thinking that by Oct I could at least have my current necro at 50, with "meh" gear, and able to farm. That should mean that if I re-roll Id automatically be better off than my current necro for leveling since I wouldnt be in almost full cloth the whole time.

Next up would be the leveling part. Right now I have no clue where to go, what my char is capable of, and how to get most places. Also, I have nobody to help me out. I have some RL friends that might help with PLs, but I dont know how strong certain classes are at PLing (efficiently for exp/hour, not safe exp). And lastly, Im not sure how noticeable that Iksar penalty will be, even with the PL.

So based on me being a completely new player now, how efficient would it be to re-roll when Iksar come out?

You left out the most vital piece of information. What level is your current necro?
The answer to if you should reroll or not depends on how far you have progressed so far. (Worst case scenario you have a mule that can travel to certain zones without fear of getting killed).

I decided the day I started on this server that I wasn't going to roll a necro till Kunark is released. Plenty of other classes to play with till then and slowly collect gear to twink my necro when the time comes.

I held off from rolling a necro until Kunark comes out myself. The racial regen is is valuable enough for me to wait. So I played a druid instead.

I wasn't around until a few months after kunark released. Will there be a HUGE influx of iksars and iksar-only groups =P.

Yes. I think Iksar regen for Cannibalize is underestimated, mainly because troll have the same. But I think that's the first Iksar I'll roll.

Lol I pplayed an Iksar Necro back on Talon Zek and then again in EQ2.

I decided to wait to roll my Necro until Kunark comes out as well. From the looks of it there will be plenty of Iksar necros running around after Kunark comes out.

Iksar Monks seemed kool also although I never played one.

Anyone remember the flash video someone made of an Iksar monk ? I forget the name but it was freakin hilarious.

I made a human monk for the sole purpose of re-sharpening my skills and gathering whatever gear I can, all in anticipation of the kunark release when I can start my iksar. I'm having fun (though i do feel the old gear-anxiety sometimes).

melkortshea - I know the one you mean but i cant remember the name of it. I loved that video!!!
