Possible Error 1018 fix, if you are having this issue look here

First off, my apologies for not being around lately - real life has kept me too busy to check in here often enough to give any real answers. I sincerely hope anyone having issues has been getting them resolved. I do get notifications for PM's in my email, so if you are having an issue and not getting an answer, please feel free to shoot me a pm and ill get an answer to you as soon as possible. Anyway, here's a possible Error 1018 fix sent to me by tersoth78

As far as I can tell, this seems like a very valid solution. I think I remember suggesting something like this in one of the other 1018 threads around here, but i definitely didn't mention anything about the name_project1999.ini files getting deleted. That may very well fix the problem all on its own, but just to be safe, I'd backup your UI files and delete them as well (go ahead and backup the name_project1999.ini files as well, though I don't see why you'd need to do this, it never hurts to be extra cautious).

If you are having an Error 1018 issue, please do the community a huge favor here. If you could attempt this for us and let us know what happens I know that at the very least you'll have my gratitude, and i'm sure the gratitude of many others as well. Before I can add this into the FAQ as a solution to this issue, I need to be sure it works, and since i've never had this problem before, I can't test it. It would make me very, very happy to be able to add this into the FAQ, because that particular part of it has been void of a solution for quite some time!

So do everyone a favor, including yourself, and if you have an Error 1018, try this out and post your results here! I'd love to hear that this works 100% of the time! Thanks everyone, and i really hope I can get back into the swing of things and start answering some questions around here soon!

The two times I have seen this problem occur, I had played a character, exited out to character select, and picked another character to play without completely closing my client. I haven't done it since those two times, and haven't seen the problem since then.

I'm not sure this will help much, but just thought I would chip in a little more info.

I considered that also, so searched my computer for "Morica" and deleted files on my side without success.

I no longer use the bugged account. I recreated and have not had the 1018 error since. That was almost two months ago.

This solution failed to work for me. Currently getting 1018 after having created several toons earlier today. I had also had it occur over the weekend (not after character creation mind you) after having not logged in for near 48 hours. The first time however it seemed to resolve after Klesko /who'd my toons and got no hits. However, this has not resolved it this time.

so you tried to log on, got 1018, asked sum1 to /who u, u not on, then u got on?
