![]() Hello all!
I am so glad I found Project 1999, i just started back up in EQ f2p and it just isn't the same. I will say have Mercs are nice for soloing, but just doesn't feel right [You must be logged in to view images. That being said, what is the end game like on this server? Many people doing raids? Also, I know the population is not the highest, but which classes are most needed? I have a feeling that for most of my leveling it will be solo and I don't want to roll a necro or mage (so I can solo easier) if everyone at the end game is one. Do you guys ever run "Alt" weekends where everyone rolls a new character and plays the low level content? Been a while since Kunark, but I can't remember if there was a global chat channel or not? If so, how do I join it? Looking forward to reliving the "good ole days" like bringing my Troll SK to Blackburrow, forgetting to get a binding and then getting killed by Holly in Qenoys hills and having to run back from Innothule naked :P Catch you all in the game [You must be logged in to view images. ![]() Population is actually pretty high, peaking at 1,000+ prime time. You won't have much of a problem finding a group, no need to roll a solo class unless you really want to.
There is no global /ooc at this time on blue. The end game, well, take a peek over in RnF. It won't take you long to see how it is.

![]() Enchanters are powerful, able to soo, and underplayed.
No global chat anymore. End game content is controlled by a couple guilds. Raiding is a big part of P1999 .

![]() Stay away from Rants and Flames. It will kill your passion for the game. And if you ever see words like "poopsocking", "FTE", "TMO", and "FE", get out of the thread / discussion, ASAP. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
There's plenty of people around most of the time. The hunting spots may be different from what you're used to (e.g., my Live server used to have Highpass and Highold Keep as hot spots for leveling. Not here. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]), but if you follow the people and ask around, you'll find a good place to get groups. If this is your first char I'd recommend playing what you love, not what's popular or underplayed. If you're really concerned about time/money, play a class that doesn't need gear to do its job like an Int caster (Enchanter was recommended and they're fun as hell to play) or even a Priest. Shaman are over-represented but there's good reasons for that. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

i see more enchanters then any other pure caster, including necro's, online at any given time.. most common epic's i see are rogue/sham/enc as well. even doing the arbitrary /who all, anytime i've checked, will show show at least 15 high level enchanters online.. and maybe 5 or 6 of the others. of course not counting the role/anon folk.

![]() /who all enchanter count will tell you exact numbers including anon. and there are always groups if your not lazy spamming "lfg" in one spot for 2 hours.
