Default Al'Kabor line unlimited targets

I casted this on live on a gathering of players going up to plane of hate and it hit all of them.

Evidence:

Source
Quote:
Wrath of Al'Kabor
Area effect spell that is not very useful for your level. Costing 500 mana, it will produce 448 points of cold dmg to all around your target. (stat submit by Eldriash of Povar)

Fire Spiral Of Al'Kabor
Area Effect fire spell. Fire this upon the center target to do damage to it and all mobs surrounding it.
Note it makes a distinction from these (4 targets):

Quote:
Pillar of Frost
Skill: Evocation
Mana Required: 325
Area Effect Duration: 5.0 seconds
Casting Time: 4.50 seconds
Spell Recovery: 2.50 seconds
Recast Delay: 6.0 seconds
Description: Ice based area effect doing 755 (L51) to 800 (L60) damage to each mob within range (4 mobs maximum)

Pillar of Lightning
Skill: Evocation
Mana Required: 344
Area Effect Duration: 5.0 seconds
Casting Time: 4.50 seconds
Spell Recovery: 2.50 seconds
Recast Delay: 6.0 seconds
Description: Area effect spell based on magic. When cast, this spell will do from 828 (L54) to 848 (L58) damage to each mob within it's radius (4 allowable targets).
Some players have confused this thinking it hit 3 targets only (gather more mobs jerko), or try firing it into a pvp battle like this guy did to gathered healers behind a wall etc to disrupt.

Another source, though he seems to have it confused that is a pbaoe and not a targeted, some people at the time thought this (maybe because of the unlimited targets?) and note that they think there's a "backlash" using the spell (gj hitting yourself with it lol), source:

This spell is now called The Wrath of Ap'Sagor.
It does about 600 dmg to all enemies surrounding
the caster, and looks really cool
Also regarding at least 4 targets, I saw posts of players saying "I hit 4 targets and it back lashed me". That's 5... and my memory matches the report of ALL targets.

It interrupts mob casting and all spells in the line should have a significant (though not as much as thunder strike) "push effect" on players when hit.

IIRC it had a much wider area of effect as well.

Evidence of wider area, just one player though noting it:

while the Al'kabor spells take up a lot of mana vs their damage, they have a wider radius AND they interupt casting. This spell is good for fighting multiple caster NPCs (or PCs)

Actually it would hit unlimited in pvp, but 5 in pve. Phoned that in one... odd.

Also anyone notice that the radius for ae spells is extremely small on this server? The mobs have to practically be on top of each other to get hit. This isn't really a problem when kiting but it does affect PvP. (I can't see any reason to use ae spells in pve other than quading or perhaps trying to agro mobs through walls)
