Default Random LONG lag spikes

I am having a weird issue with one of my computers where I get into really long random lag spikes. It will keep me stuck in casting new spell or queue'ing up actions for 10-45 seconds at a time. I don't have any dual core issues or anything. I am on a stable internet connection but am using a wifi extender. I have no packet loss in other applications or games.

Has anybody else experienced this or have anything to try? it's almost unbearable

What method are you using to extend your wifi? I've got one that runs through my electric supply and connects to a socket where my laptop is. That seems 99% steady, but I know there's other ways of going about it.

Try plugging it in with an ethernet cable at the source for an hour and see if you get the same spikes...best thing to do is try and find the problem by ruling out what it isn't [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have an amped wireless 10000 ft range extender. i have no latency or ping problems while watching videos and my crappier laptop doesn't have the issue on the same network. I think it is my nic on my laptop. i have done a fresh install and it didn't fix it but perhaps my nic is the problem.
