Unhappy Budget solo enchanter gear and upgrade path

Looked through a couple pages didn't see anything relevant post-velious and the wiki looks skeletal. Figured I'd check here first. I'm making a high elf enchanter 25cha/5 int (115 base cha) and was hoping to twink him on a budget (the lower the better), he'll never group or raid.

Misc (already have not included in budget): Gazughi ring, Jboots
Melee weapon 1-9: Smoldering Brand 200pp
Clickies/quests/no-drops to farm/gear swaps: ???

Prim: Rod of Insidious Glamour (12 cha) 500pp
Sec: Crude Stein (15 cha) 50pp
Face: Laced Veil (8 cha) 100pp UPGRADE: Incandescent Mask
Head: Loam (4 cha, 5 int) 200pp UPGRADE: Siryn Hair Hood
Rings: 5/55 500pp
Wrist: Golden Cats eye 2x (14 cha) 60pp UPGRADE (1x Golden Bracer if over softcap)
Arms: Gatorscale (4int, 15hp) 90pp
Gloves: Incandescent Gloves (3CHA, 3 STR) 250pp UPGRADE: ???
Shoulder: ???
Chest: Blackened Crystalline Robe (5cha, 6 int) 250pp UPGRADE: Froglok BoneCaster
Back: Hooded Black Cloak (5 str, 45 HP) 600pp UPGRADE: ???
Belt: Braided Cinch Cord (4 int, 8hp) 400pp UPGRADE: ???
Legs: Drake-hide (5 cha) 100pp
Boots: Spider-fur lined boots (5cha, 45hp) 300pp
Neck: Gypsy Medallion (9 cha) 80pp UPGRADE: Sarnak Arcane Fetish if over softcap
Range: ???
Earrings: Opalline 2x (10 cha) 200pp UPGRADE: ???

This puts me at 205 cha, 121 int for ~3880pp with empty shoulder/range. I'm assuming there is a way to save some money and get better stat weighting for the same price or less?

Earring upgrade: https://wiki.project1999.com/Helssen...smatic_Trinket
Not sure of minimum level to do it solo, was trivial at 60. Pretty fun solo quest.

Not to open up a can of worms here, but aim for 200 CHA, 255 might be a little better but in my experience 200 is steady for soloing. 205 is just fine ^^

Build looks good [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Shoulders (100-200p):

Upgrade (free w/ friends or ~10k service):

Second one is fun to acquire at low levels since you have to run through most of velious. Just need a clr/enc or dru combo or something along those lines to kill the mobs.

I would skip the Froglok Bonecaster Robe and get a Scaled Robe of the Elder Serpent, it's cheaper and has +9CHA/+3int. For Range, Students Homework. Later on, when you can afford it, upgrade to a Sickly Glowing Orb.

If you hit 205 CHA, Book of Dawn is a nice Primary or Secondary, +9CHA/+45HP, and only a few hundred plat. Also a +65hp/65mana or 55/55 necklace.

Don't underestimate the importance of hit point items. Even with 255 buffed CHA charm will break often or you'll have a critical resist on Lull and hit point gear will matter.

Unless a person wants to be Amiable to giants for different quests as well, I don't think this quest is worth doing before 60 when you can Dictate Noble Helssen. It's not really possible before the high 40's without help anyways, the TOFS placeholder is a level 42 with harmtouch.

It's a really nice earring and I wear one myself, but that would be a lot of time grinding faction. I think getting your CHA in other slots and wearing two +35hp/+25 mana or one +35hp/+25mana and an Earring of Essence is the way to go for twinking a level 1 and keeping those until 60.

Don't pay 200 for smouldering brand, it is lore and common as hell. People will take 50 for it.

Looks good so far, I started with the same stuff roughly with my chanter and was easy to upgrade from there as you level up more. Once you are able to hit the 255 CHA mark and have extra CHA not being used then start switching out for more hp/mana/INT stuff, it will come naturally.

range: students homework -> frozen orb -> sticky glowing orb

shoulder: loam amice - embroil black cape -> neriad shawl (no drop)

neck: u should just get the 65hp/65 mana jewelry, and one day get the +all from ww dragons

ears i went for earring essence and 35hp jewelry, hp is more important and u dont need 255 cha

for head u can go platinum tiara for hp, and later aim for the hate no drop helm.

i dont understand why many chanters are skipping the cheap/good hp gears for some lousy cha only gears like opalline. if bracer i understand there are not many hp choices available, but ears/face/head/rings are easy hp boosts

i dont even have over 200 cha until lvl 58, and i solo charm all the time.
