An introduction

I started playing EQ around the launch of Kunark, on the Bertoxx server. I started This ultra cool Dark Elf SK, adventured my way to EC and was giving the spear from Kunark. So I girded my loins and headed off to fun and adventure. I ended up in this ultra cool undead-ish place called beheaded, no erm hatefallen, OH Befallen and thought being an SK i would do well here. I adventured around on the heals of this guy (who kept opening the same damn door over and over and over) and a friend of his - a high elf that could kill the undead in one spell.
Well I was a bit "litle" for the area and just as I was trying to find my way out I the skellies where starting to come back and didn't really seem to appreciate my presence in their lovely florescent abode... and proceeded to bash on me, vigorously. I then panicked, and ran for the door, ok wrong door... lets try down this hallway. Then I found this room with a well and was trapped. I had a choice stay and fight and die or jump; I jumped.
I couldnt find anyone to help get my body and camped out for a couple days as I tried this wood elf ranger.

Then in a fit of nooby rage I chastised my computer viciously and deleted the SK when I was told by a gm (after having been told about /petition) that my corpse has rotted and I was SOL. I saw this cool looking guy blasting the hel out of these HUGE bees infront of the high elf city whilst running around looking for this crushbone place on my ranger. so I loged out and created a high elf wizard, however I was told to go to this Queinos place because you level faster and that the best time to do it was durin the night.. especially in some kithakor place because the mobs change and its safer at night.

so after deleting my new wizard because I was to scared to re-enter the devils playground called Kithakor (ya know to this day I get the chills thinking about it) i play my ranger, Fabinusen, which I brought to 50 before I left EQ.
I had a small army of alts (some on the pvp servers) as I suffer form AltItice.

To this day he is my highest character, among many 30's and 20's.

Oddly enough the time delay between when I found EQ after Kunark launch and P99 after kunark launch is very close, odd but true.

Iam mostly counting on solo play as my play times are going to be rather haphazard, and I am thinking about an oger shamy though I just got my barb shamy to 5 I remember on my ranger that being stuned during fights ect was a HUGE pita.

Oh, interesting note... My ranger at 45 got the eyepatch from velious thanks to some gracious players who messaged me and said hey you want this come get it" after Lodi died. Boy did that piss people off when I clicked it during XP groups ( OMFG camping Stormfeather SSSSUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKED ... but I'ma gonna do it again {hint hint devs} ) It was awsome.

Other MMORPGS
DAOC 50 warden, alts a plenty
WOW 35 feral druid (bleh)
EQ2 high 30's shamy, Pali, necro, lol altItice again
Vanguard 50 dog shaman, alts a plenty
EVE ...not sure how to descibe it... battle ship captian and miner
lots of other 14 day trials etc etc

I have been around EQEMU for a while off and on, I even had my own in house based on PEQ for just me to play and doo all the cool stuff I couldnt on live but that comp is toast (built it new for EQ2 lol...)
Now I play on a hand me down HP Pav laptop that almost as old as my main box was, tat why I plan to solo and its rather taxing on this thing because of its age more then spec I would think (already tore it down to "refresh" things" UNGH you would think a cat lived in there)

so tat t for my inane ramblings and hope to see you all in EC someday, also I'm sorry for the dorky /pets the other day. Just call me an Ancient Noob.

I wanted to add, the reason I played EQ was back in 95 when I played moongate (I used the zmud client) I kept saying MAN this would be awesome with 3d graphics, ah well mabey someday. After got out of the Navy and had the time and cash for internet ( CABLE WOOHOOO, hey my area didnt get touch tone untill 1987 before that it was still rotary) I wanted to play muds again, and found out about EQ, this was in 2000 because I moved across town JUST to get cable internet lol.

Well, after playing and realizing that on m ancient laptop I coulndt run the sky at all,and everything was turned down or off, I went to the local rent place and picked up a new laptop. Pavilion dv7. Not a stellar box however it beats the 7 year old laptop I was using. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
