Game freeze

Hi Developers!

First of all, GREAT job on the server!! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

A question about the game i was hoping you had an answer for. When i have the game running and i minimize and start any random program that windows require to be agreed with admin rights, the game screen of EQ stops. I can still hear the sounds behind the frozen picture and i can also type. When it happens i just do a /q and the screen from EQ will come back to life.

I hope you understand what i ment with windows admin agreement? You know... before you install a program, windows will pop up with a blackscreen and want you to dobbelt check that this file will now run. ONLY then will the screen freeze/stop in EQ. Again.. game is still running cause i can hear all sounds and i can cast spells and log out.

Yeah, they're aware of this. Most people can press Alt + Enter once or twice to fix it, but doing that can also crash the client depending on what kind of graphics card & drivers you're using.

Something you'll have to get used to, unless you disable administrative privileges requests in Windows altogether, which I highly advise against due to malware vulnerability and such. Try the Alt + Enter thing though.

Ok, i see! Never thought of going full screen to see if it would fix it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Great idea though and if it will work 50% of the time, it is a huge improvement for me! Thanks for the info!

Can i just ask you one more thing...Perhaps you know the answer aswell here? Everytime i wanna type a capital l like this "L" the game puts double "LL"... it only happens for that specific letter and only when doing it with shift down? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
