Unable to Login to Main Character

So I've only been able to recreate this issue in one other zone. I attempted to zone on foot from North Ro to the Oasis of Marr on my Iksar SK. I was zoning as usual, then the game crashes with no error.

This happened one other time when I was zoning from Butcherblock to Timorous? Or OOT? Either way, the game crashed once again and I was unable to login to my main. No error message, just crash.

Each time I attempt to log in to my main now, the server loading bar gets to showing "Loading zone files" and crashes with no error. It is odd that this is happening for zone files I already have textures for and can verify their location in my EQ directory. I have even attempted to relocate the entire directory from my SSD to the HDD, no change.

I am running WinEQ2 and have attempted to login both running and not running it with no changes. I have reinstalled the application from a fresh restart, and the problem persists which lets me know either the files I have installed are corrupted, or I am missing something entirely too obvious. I have also powercycled and performed other layer one troubleshooting steps (check network connection, check compatibility, make sure I've launched from the right icon)

I've attempted a fresh reinstall, the error persists.

At this point I'm resigning myself to keeping my characters strictly bound to Kunark. I must be looking in the wrong places when trying to find the issue as I only have it in Oasis of Marr, Ocean of Tears, and Timorous Deep. Zoning from or to any of those zones makes it impossible to load the zones for some reason.

Making headway - Found the error I'm receiving:

Error - cst.eqg is not a PFS file

I am currently searching for more information on this error code. In the mean time I will provide the current specs I am working with. All drivers are up-to-date according to their respective net checks and device manager indicators.

I believe this file has become corrupted for whatever reason and is the source of my issues. If that is the case I will need to attempt a fresh reinstall from another source.

Does it show the file being modified when you look at "Date Modified"? I searched my computer for the file, and it has never been modified. Shows 10/17/2005

Would be really great if you figured out what causes this. This problem seems to come and go for people.

Basically what I had assumed - the file is either corrupted or missing.
Attempting fresh reinstall, caught a snag. Client is now crashing before character select without error.

Fix did not work. Fresh reinstall from different source has failed.

Same error: Error - cst.eqg is not a PFS file

Deleting cst.eqg and attempting reload. Receiving error that I have a character logged in, so I know to an extent my character does get logged into but once the client crashes I'm SOL and JWF.

Ok WTF - I deleted it and now I'm in. I am in Oasis of Marr because I deleted another zone file?
