Hey guys, I was playing on my old computer just fine, but I was wondering if this would work on my new computer that I just built. (it's powerful enough for sure, but I'm worried about the quad core and the OS)

You should be fine. I play on windows 7 64-bit with a quad core with no issues at all. In fact, I occasionally play on the PEQ server with 3-4 instances of eq running with little slowdown. Its usually best to run as administrator in windows 7 but its given me no grief yet.

However, I've also heard that there might be some stuttering with multi-core AMD processors (I use intel) but I believe there is a fix for it posted in the forums. Best of luck | ||

Thats what I was afraid of, was the random quad/dual core issues with the slowdowns and the animations of this server.

Those are easily overcome by capping your game's FPS to 45, and setting the affinity of the game to 1 CPU core in the event of bizarre issues.

similar setup for me. setting affinity didnt work for me but using wineq2 which handles dualcore issues as well did work.
