Default basic enchanter gear

Hi there, I started leveling an enchanter and am running in a trio of monk/shaman/myself. I've saved up about 400pp from bones and other stuff i've been able to sell and am wondering what is some basic gear that i should be looking into getting. I'm level 14 currently running around with a cracked staff, some cloth gear and a crude stein.

I played back in the day but this is my first time back in about 10 years, from the wiki's I understand I should be looking for Charisma, Int, and mana items. My main job so far has been CC and I've started charming mobs for dps, leaving slowing to the shaman when needed.

Thank you in advance!

I was just in the same boat as you - some suggestions:

crafted gold cat eye bracers (7cha each) x 2, very cheap in EC, I wanna say 30ish pp each

opalline earrings (5cha each) very cheap, maybe 50p each or farmable if you group in unrest (maybe lvl 20-25 or so?)

sarnak arcane fetish (int and cha, neck slot), very cheap in EC or you can ask a chardok wizard to loot and give you one (the server is flooded with them due to chardok aoe)

edit: forgot stein of moggok is questable by any enc after 12, that's an easy 10int booster that just takes some running around. tho around the level 30 point I would recommend switching to a rod of insidious glamour mainhand and crude stein offhand for high charisma and the incredible power that an instant clicky to reset spell gems gives you.

int really does not matter at lower levels, I'm level 38 now and I still have 123 int with no problems. I'm just now beginning to look for pure int items to replace my cloth/gossamer. However, getting some cheap charisma gear will really help with the low level charming.

I agree with the poster above. I had 129 int until level 51 but I got my cha to 202 base from day 1. Granted I put about 3k into his gear but do your best and get your charisma up. Int will come later when u upgrade your gear from camps or planes.

Everything seems covered here!!

If you have money left over buy some 5/55 rings OR 4/45 rings for extreme value.

Gypsy medallion from NK is also really easy to get for cha gear. You could probably get a split paw tooth necklace for free as well if you're looking for another good deal.

Once you get a bit higher in level (around mid 20's), you can start doing the incandescent armor quests and Rod of Insidious Glamour from temple of Sol Ro; excellent items and you can do them yourself and with a group and gain XP at the same time.

I've been able to gear myself decently without any significant expenditure just by farming and questing and getting a bit lucky in XP groups. If you want to put a little money in JC, you can also make yourself some decent jewelry or of course you can also buy it.
