Default 2015: State of the Server

Heres the list of Velious quests that need completed before they even come close to releasing velious.
Had a nice idea to complete all quest in 1-2 weeks. Community players like Thulack ,Colgate , Swish , Fatboy ,Argh (even drew you a graph of how he will take care of it)
Nothing good came of this so heres the quest an good luck getting it done.
Instead of completing these in 1-2 weeks. It will take Swish years. GL

There is so much misinformation and so many bad suggestions ITT I don't even know where to start.

I'll start with the entitled tone in which you've written this letter and :
They aren't allowed to make money on P99 or they will get shut down. (Im almost 100% certain your theory on crowd sourcing funds being exempt from the laws is way wrong)

I can tell you were never part of a major beta test, Certainly not on on Everquest but possibly ever.


:SPOILER- No one cares about red. And the 150 or so people who play there regularly can stay there as far as I (and most others) am/are concerned.

Personally, I'm happy with what we have. If Velious never launched, I'd still play here.

Or make a new hardcoded teams PvP server an watch red die slowly.
What makes you think a teams server won't end up with 80% of people on one (successful) team?

Yeah, this makes me think back to Rolfron Zek, which was pretty awesome during its time but died quickly because with the size of pop a teams server attracts it seems like this will happen a lot:

2-3 big guilds start up

one begins to appear bigger, the other sides begin to quit or migrate to the zerg

zerg rules

pop dies

I love the idea in theory just as much as anyone and in 2013 was interested in the idea of p99 teams, but after seeing a teams pvp server that admittedly was faster paced than here and given that red gives you the option of re-teaming without having to remake your entire char there's simply little incentive imo for pvpers or those of blue to rush to the teams model of server.

Because now class R gets class R mobs, FFA mobs, and Class C mobs if they want.
Example this week class R got 11 mobs that class C could not touch.
How has this done anything to Class C?

I think Class C players are disgruntled that guilds like Taken and BDA, who are less hardcore, are now going to get similar numbers of mobs except for VP. Although theoretically, the lockouts still makes Class C a better place to get mobs, but you probably have to put in a lot more work there as mobs die within 2 minutes of spawning as opposed to maybe 15 to 20 minutes in Class R.
