Welcome to the server. My advice to you on class is play the class you want to play so you won't get burned about before you hit 60 and join a Zerg. Wanna play a ranger? Go ahead! Wanna roll a paladin? Much luck to you! Very rarely at 50+ do you see 1 v 1 fights, so play a class that you want because your bros will be happy just to have you are there. Bottom line is PVP happens on a PVP server! Enjoy you stay and don't be a quitter like Gaffin.

If we're playing on Red...technically quitting blue, so we're already quitters

You can two box as long as one character is on red and another is on blue. So stick your blue character at some money camp then use one of the people who do blue to red transfers and make yourself some coin on red that way. No reason to quit blue [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I was being sarcastic haha, but fuck Blue. Seriously, after seeing the bitching and moaning that goes on between guilds fighting over pixels...pass.

3 pieces of advice for new guys.

1) like sheriff said, play what makes you happy. Whether it be a class that can solo or needs groups.

2) be prepared for a bit of a longer time sink as pvp eats into play time.

3) find people you enjoy playing with and get incorporated into their circle. EQ is a social game but even more so on a red server.

That being said, once you play red you won't want to go back to blue. PVP adds a new level of gameplay that can't be duplicated on blue.

If you need to ask questions send me a tell in game on Rexx and I will try to help you out or get you some gear to help you get started.

Don't join a guild until you know who is in it. Quickest way to become public enemy number 2 is sharing a guild tag with public enemy number 1.
