Chat not working in game, Enter Key doesn't respond

Hello all. I'm having another problem...

For some reason I am unable to chat in game. Enter does not put the cursor in the chat window. If I hit "/" then there will be a cursor in the chat window but when i try to type a command and hit ENTER, nothing happens. I cannot type or use /commands. Please help

you didn't accidentally reprogram your enter key in your game settings did you? start with the most obvious... :P

Lol no, believe me I checked that a few times.

It's very strange. 80% of the time I simply cannot use chat or /commands at all, but sometimes it works all of a sudden. I don't know how else to explain it. I'm at a loss.

It is probably a windows vista problem?

My friend is also having this problem. He is running Vista also. He told me most of the time he can't use chat or any /commands.

OMG I cannot believe it is something as simple as that.... I literally deleted my anti virus, spent a full day trying different security and compatibility settings, i even uninstalled and reinstalled everquest!!!! LOL
