Default New Player - Saying Hello.

Hey there!

I started up EQ many, many years ago pre-Kunark release and played into early Luclin before I lost that EQ feel.

I'm in the process of getting everything all set up to make my Iksar Shaman (Yes, I know about the Ogre master-race and the about the inability for my Iksar to take advantage of the JBB).

I've been away for a very, very long time and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I am supposed to deal with being an Iksar in the hostile old-world settings, especially since coin is hard to come by, and stockpiling spells when traveling away from Cabilis won't be an option.

See you in Norrath!

Deal with being an iksar?

I think the quest here is how does anyone deal with a new character that is NOT an iksar.

We have the best starting area. Just go kill everything in sight, save up those bone chips and whatever else. Plat won't be an issue if you're diligent.

The only bank outside of Cabilis you should care about is NFP. Raising NFP faction is fairly easy with some plat and milk (Had coin to the bard then do the milk quests).

Once you have access to the NFP bank things open up greatly.
